Unexpected Adventures on a Rainy Night

Some evenings start out basic — movie, food, chill — and then spiral into “remember that night?” stories. This was one of those. Unexpected. Slightly chaotic. Weirdly wholesome.

🎬 The Plan

It all started with a movie plan. MV (my fiancé) and his friend Shubnam were going for a show. Arushi, who’s Shubnam’s wife, joined in. MV asked me if I wanted to tag along too.

His car was in the garage, so Shubnam offered to pick him up in his Skoda Slavia. Arushi was already with him. That meant three of them would be together… and I was asked to come by cab.
Cue mild weirdness.

MV, being MV, sensed it. He suggested we all just meet at Shubnam’s place and go together. Problem solved. Mood saved.

🎥 IMAX and the Movie

We watched the new F1 movie. I didn’t know much about Formula One, but IMAX changed that real quick. The visuals were so good. Cars flying past, that seat-rumbling sound design — even the rain scenes felt cinematic.

It was fun. Fast. And kinda intense.

🍕 Pizza… and Plot Twist

Post-movie, we went to grab pizza. Solid vibes, chill conversations, full stomachs. Then out of nowhere, Shubnam got a call from his sister, Ginni.

Her Baleno had a flat tyre. It was close to midnight. Also raining.
Because of course it was.

She was nearby, thankfully. One of her friends had already dropped her home safely, but the car was still out there. Naturally, after dinner, we all headed there.

🌧️ Real-Life Crew Moment

MV and Shubnam got right to it — fixing the tyre in the rain like they were in some off-brand F1 pit crew. Ginni stayed close by, helping where she could. Arushi and I stood nearby, just… soaking it all in (almost literally).

No one complained. No drama. Just a flat tyre, some teamwork, and that quiet kind of efficiency that makes you respect people more.

They got the car fixed. Dropped it home. Dropped MV home after. And that was that.

💭 What Stayed With Me

It wasn’t the movie. It wasn’t the pizza.

It was the fact that everyone just showed up. No questions, no eye rolls. Just… okay, let’s go. MV noticing something felt off and fixing it quietly. Shubnam handling the situation like a big brother. Arushi’s calming presence. Ginni trusting everyone to have her back.

Sometimes the best part of the night is what you didn’t plan for.

Have you ever had a chill plan turn unexpectedly wholesome? I’d love to hear it.
