Lovely Evening Outing with Rachel
By Kiara
Saturday was fun.
I went out in the evening with my best friend Rachel today.
Going out in these COVID times is a big deal.
We have a state-wide curfew imposed after 9 PM because of COVID.
Also, all restaurants and cafes are closed for dine-in.
Fortunately, takeaway and delivery is available.
About Rachel đź’›
Rachel is my college friend.
We were together in engineering for the first three semesters
— then I got myself transferred to another institute.
Anyway… Rachel and I did a lot of crazy things in college.
Not just us — we had a whole gang with us hahah.
Those good old days!
Reuniting After a Long Time
After college, we used to meet occasionally — like once a month or so.
But due to COVID, we hadn’t met in over a year.
Yesterday I video called her and we decided to meet the next day —
in the evening around 6 PM near IIM Road.
IIM Road is a good place to hang out for young people.
We decided to meet there because it’s the midpoint between our houses.
Rachel and I live in two different corners of the city,
so we always try to pick places that are convenient for both of us.
It was a good day 🧋🌆
Tiny Wins & Reflections
I even put on my contact lens today — for the first time!
I’ve tried 2–3 times before and failed.
But today… success!
And I realized — I look really different without glasses.
Different in a weird way lol.
Rachel’s Big News 💍
Rachel is planning to get married next year in January
to her long-time boyfriend Mike.
I’m happy for her.
She’s courageous to be ready for marriage at such a young age — at least I think so.
I mean… it’s not a bad thing,
but it comes with a huge set of responsibilities
and the fact that she’s ready for it says a lot about her.
I feel proud of her.
Wrapping Up
All in all, it was a gooood day.
We clicked some pictures too —
though she didn’t post any of them on Instagram (I don’t know why đź¤)
But yeah… it was a lovely and fun Saturday.
I hope it was a good day for everyone 🌸
