30 Days of Basic Hair Care – Basic but Consistent
Hi all,
I’ll be logging my hair care updates here for the next 30 days.
Day 0 of Hair Care
Day 0 not because I am a software engineer (array starts from 0, get it?) but because I trimmed my hair one day before starting this.
The idea of doing this struck me when I was trimming my hair. Split ends, breakage and hair fall have increased exponentially so I decided to do some basic hair care for 30 days consistently and see if there is any improvement in the condition of my hair.
Day 1 of Hair Care
- Brushed my hair in the morning
- Kept moisturising them when seemed rough
- Brushed my hair at night
- Braided my hair before sleeping — 2 braids with middle partitioning
Day 2 of Hair Care
- Woke up early and meditated for stress relief
- Brushed my hair in the morning
- Kept moisturising them when seemed rough
- Brushed my hair at night
- Braided my hair before sleeping — 2 braids with middle partitioning
- Practiced stress management techniques throughout the day
Day 3 of Hair Care
- Woke up early and meditated for stress relief
- Decided to reduce use of mobile
- Read a book till it’s time to sign in for work
- Brushed my hair in the morning
- Kept moisturising them when seemed rough
- Brushed my hair at night
- Braided my hair before sleeping — 2 braids with middle partitioning
Day 4–6 of Hair Care
- Tried waking up early
- Read a book till it’s time to sign in for work
- Brushed my hair in the morning
- Kept moisturising them when seemed rough
- Brushed my hair at night
- Braided my hair before sleeping — 2 braids with middle partitioning
On Day 6: I feel my hair fall has reduced. They are really rough though.
Day 7
- Woke up late
- Brushed my hair — regular lazy Saturday
- Applied oil before sleeping
- Experienced a lot of hair fall
- Meditated before sleeping
Day 8
- Sunday!
- Woke up late again
- Brushed and later washed hair
- Hair fall is the same as usual
- Hair feels soft and silky
- Brushed hair before sleeping
- Meditated before sleeping
Day 9–13
Routine remains mostly same:
- Woke up early
- Brushed hair
- Read book
- Moisturised when rough
- Brushed at night
- Braided hair before bed
- Meditated before sleeping (on most days)
Day 14
- Brushed my hair at night
- Braided my hair before sleeping — 2 braids with middle partitioning
- Meditated before sleeping
Day 15–16
- Brushed hair at night
- Meditated before sleeping
Day 17
- Brushed hair in morning
- Brushed hair at night
- Meditated before sleeping
Day 18
- Brushed hair at night
- Meditated before sleeping
Day 19
- Applied oil and brushed hair at night
- Meditated before sleeping
Day 20
- Woke up early and brushed my hair
- Washed my hair
- Suddenly dandruff has increased in my scalp
- Hair feels soft after shampoo
Day 21–22
- Brushed hair once per day
Day 23–30
- Washed hair once this week
- Didn’t follow routine religiously
- Brushed hair at least once daily
Final Thoughts
Hi All,
My 30 days of hair care is done. Hair fall has reduced. That is very much evident.
I think I’m going to start with some new routine to increase volume/density of my hair.
Of course, I’ll be logging that too. This has been fun.
